Radio Rahmaniya

Radio Rahmaniya is a proud venture of the Department of Electronics and Communication Technology (ECT). The project launched as an FM Transmitter unit during 2010-13 has been developed step by step in to a full-fledged radio relay station with a coverage of one kilo meter area by 2013-14.The Radio Rahmaniya began its relay with the infrastructure of an FM Transmitter, Sound mixer, microphones, antenna and by installing fixed radio  receivers in important locations of the campus .Today the entire Rahmaniya is roused in to action every morning  tuning to the day assembly relayed live from Radio Rahmaniya .The School Prayer, Principal’s address, news headlines, thought of the day and pledge are the routine programmes  heard  via the radio receivers installed in all class  rooms.

The radio becomes all the livelier during various competitions, reading week, students parliament election and school youth festival. The project is an extension of the course contents related to communication Technology. Production, Recording, relay and all other function related to the radio station are fully executed by the students of the ECT Department. The exposure caters to their skill, knowledge and innovative faculties. Indirectly, the project has been instrumental in developing and fine tuning the talents of radio jockeys, news readers etc.
